Juanicipio Exploration

Juanicipio exploration supports long-term sustainability

In addition to underground mine production and processing of mineralised material at Juanicipio, an expanded exploration program is in place targeting multiple highly prospective targets.

MAG has identified a structural intersection marked by funnel-shaped skarn alteration with high copper and boron, indicative of an ore fluid upwelling zone.

This is reflected by distinctive surface alteration, which makes a thumbprint that can be used to focus MAG’s exploration program throughout the district.

This fluid upwelling zone concept led to the recognition of at least three other high-priority target zones on the property where signs indicate the potential of discovering additional ore fluid upwelling zones.

Only 5% of Juanicipio has been explored to date with many untested targets still to be pursued within the property.

Drilling in recent years has primarily focused on converting the Inferred Mineral Resources included in the Deep Zone into Indicated Mineral Resources and to further trace mineralization to depth.
